SOA Server Constantly Tries to Recover Old Instances which are no Longer Required (Doc ID 1327800.1)

Symptoms

Review of the soa_diagnostics.log shows that the server constantly tries to recover old instances which are no longer required.
The following error may be seen:

Error while invoking bean "cube delivery": Exception not handled by the Collaxa Cube system.[[ an unhandled exception has been thrown in the Collaxa Cube systemr; exception reported is: "ORABPEL-00000

Exception not handled by the Collaxa Cube system.
an unhandled exception has been thrown in the Collaxa Cube systemr; exception reported is: "java.util.NoSuchElementException: Unable to update the state of composite instance with id='your instance id', as the instance does not exist. The state to be updated was 'Faulted' at oracle.integration.platform.instance.activity.CompositeInstanceStateActivity.throwInstanceNotFoundException(CompositeInstanceStateActivity.java:70)
