How to Globally Set Favicon on Oracle iPlanet Web Server 7.0 Using a Single Favicon File Across All the Web Server Instances? (Doc ID 1328032.1)

Goal

The user want to globally replace the default favicon.ico that is displayed on WS 7.0 instances with another icon without the need to copy the favicon.ico file to the individual docroot. Replacing the following file in WS 7.0 doesn't seem to have any effect.

<webserver-install-directory>/lib/webapps/search/images/favicon/favicon.ico
<webserver-install-directory>/lib/webapps/admingui/com_sun_web_ui/images/favicon/favicon.ico
