Last updated on NOVEMBER 06, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo - Version: 11.1.1.1.0 and later   [Release: 11g and later ]
HP OpenVMS Itanium

Symptoms

Defining a trace for the TUXEDO daemon on Integrity/Itanium OpenVMS may result in an unresponsive process at TUXEDO shutdown.

This trace problem occurs with following steps:

1. DEFINE/PROCESS/NOLOG TMTRACE "*:ulog:dye"
2. tmboot -y
3. tmshutdown -y
<Ctrl_c> to exit
4. tmshutdown -y -c -k "KILL"
<Ctrl_c> to exit

The VPS daemon has to be killed (STOP/ID=vps_pid) and restarted.
