ODSEE - DSCC Shows Server as Inaccessible After Changing Admin Password (Doc ID 1329706.1)

Last updated on MAY 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition - Version 6.3 SP1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Directory Service Control Center (DSCC) on two Primary Servers with the same admin password works, until the admin password has been changed on one of them.

For example,  the DSCC on Primary 1 shows the message

"Inaccessible (to enable access click on the server and then on "Enable Access")"

The DSCC on Primary 2 shows the managed instances correctly.  Clicking "Enable access" as suggested correctly displays the instances running on the current server, but not the instance(s) running on the other server. The other DSCC mirrors this same behavior.

Relevant entries in the of the errors log for DS2:
