Symptoms

Since applying a Patchset to the Oracle SSO environment, e.g., patching 10.1.2.0.2 to 10.1.2.3.0, errors like the following are being written to the ORACLE_HOME/sso/log/ssoServer.log file:

This may or may not be linked to inability to log into the SSO-protected application, depending on whether the errors are written to the log file when attempted SSO login in the browser fails.

There were no errors in the Patchset installation logs.

Oracle SSO is not integrated with any other authentication engine, e.g. Oracle Access Manager, Siteminder.

Note: If Oracle SSO is integrated with Oracle Access Manager, then reference the following instead of this document:

<Document 602260.1> After OAM/SSO Integration Login Produces an HTTP-500 Internal Server Error - No site2pstoretoken from SSO partner Application
