Purpose

The purpose of this bulletin is to supply updated information about the File Identification (FI) values returned by Outside In 8.3.7.

Note that information in this article is intended to be supplementary information to the defined FI values in \sdk\common\sccfi.h. In the event of discrepancies between this list and the header file, \sdk\common\sccfi.h is the source of truth for File Identification information.

Scope

The scope of information includes new FI values for 8.3.5, as well as information about the three levels of support for the various file formats - extract / convert, FI only or metadata only.

The scope of this article does not include general information about the 8.3.7 release. Please refer to <Note 1329436.1> : "Oracle Outside In Technology (OIT) 8.3.7 Release Description (Available July 2011)" for general information about the 8.3.7 release.
