How to Change the Default JDBC Driver in UCM 11g (Doc ID 1332635.1)

Goal

The default JDBC driver used in 11g Universal Content Management (UCM) is ojdbc6dms.jar. If the need arises to change the JDBC driver, the following steps can be used. This example changes the driver from using ojdbc6dms.jar to ojdbc6.jar.

Note: The default ojdbc6dms.jar driver is the same as ojdbc6.jar, except that it contains instrumentation to support DMS and limited java.util.logging calls. DMS is Dynamic Monitoring Service application that allows the Fusion Middleware Enterprise Manager to gather metrics on the UCM managed server.
