Last updated on APRIL 09, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Access Control Lists (ACLs) are being used to control user security in Universal Content Management (UCM) 11g.

In order for a user to be able to modify the ACL on a folder or content item, they need Read, Write, Delete, and Admin access (RWDA ) to the Security Group controlled by the ACL. However, once a user has RWDA permission to the Security Group, they are able to update the ACL on any folder or content item even if this user has only RW permission to the account and ACL of the item.
