JNDI naming exception:javax.naming.NameNotFoundException when using the weblogic.Admin utility

When attempting to get the state of a server using the weblogic.Admin command-line interface (see below), the following error occurs.

java weblogic.Admin -url <host>:<port> -username <username> -password <password> GETSTATE <serverName>


JNDI naming exception:javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to lookup 'weblogic.management.home.localhome' didn't find subcontext 'home'. Resolved 'weblogic.management' [Root exception is javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to lookup 'weblogic.management.home.localhome' didn't find subcontext 'home'. Resolved 'weblogic.management']; remaining name 'home/localhome'
