Error When Checking Out a Content Item From Inside a Folder Shortcut Using DIS: "The properties for 'File.doc' could not be obtained." (Doc ID 1335498.1)

Symptoms

An error is displayed and the operation fails when you attempt to check out a content item from inside a folder shortcut using Desktop Integration Suite (DIS).

Steps to recreate the issue:

  1. Create a shortcut to a folder and move this shortcut to another folder.

  2. In DIS, navigate inside the shortcut.

  3. Right-click and select Checkout on a content item inside this shortcut. An error appears:

    The properties for 'File3.doc' could not be obtained.
