Last updated on JUNE 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle iPlanet Web Proxy Server - Version 4.0.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Enabling keep-alive to help resolve problems with application latency reported after the Oracle iPlanet 4.0.3 Proxy server configured in secure reverse proxy mode has been introduced to the deployment. In this case the http-client-config keep-alive was disabled and needed to be re-enabled.
Example Topology:
Internet -> FW -> F5 -> Oracle Iplanet Web Proxy Server -> FW -> Routers -> Microsoft IIS (origin server hosting the web application).
Internet -> FW -> F5 -> Oracle Iplanet Web Proxy Server -> FW -> Routers -> Microsoft IIS (origin server hosting the web application).
Prior to introducing the secure reverse Proxy Server to the deployment the application was not experiencing delays or resets to the origin server and accessing the application internally results in no delays.
