Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.1.0 to 12.2.1.4.221011 [Release 11gR1 to 12c]
Oracle Fusion Application Toolkit - Version 1.0-Beta and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This note explains how to export single SOA composites, whole MDS stores, review those exports and also show how to use Oracle JDeveloper to browse an MDS connection and import SOA composites for review or modification within Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g SOA Suite and Oracle Fusion Applications environments.
With Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, applications and configurations for some of the components like the SOA Suite are stored within an MetaData Store layer, or MDS.  This also applies to Oracle Fusion Applictations which is built atop of the Oracle SOA Suite.
There may be times when you wish to review the contents of the MDS either to validate deployed composites, versions or component configuration files.  At times, Oracle Support may also request that you provide MDS exported files to an SR.  This note explains ways in which you can browse and export MDS contents
