Creating a Folder Fails when a Period is at the End of the Folder Name

Symptoms
When creating a Folder that has a period, ".", at the end of the Folder Name, an error will be returned such as this example:
csFoldersArchiveError The folder or file name 'TEST PERIOD.' is invalid. (The name matched the pattern: .*\. )
This error will occur when creating a new folder within the UCM or when importing folders from a previous release of Content Server.
