Which 10g WebGate Can Be Installed On Linux Redhat 5 / OEL 5 Operating Systems? (Doc ID 1336714.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

The requirement is to install Oracle Access Manager (OAM) WebGate 10.1.4.x on Linux RedHat 5 or Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) 5 operating system.

If any of the base release WebGates are installed e.g. using installer package Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_0_2_linux_APACHE2_WebGate, the webserver fails to start after WebGate is configured.

For example, if the webserver is Apache the following error is seen in the error_log:

[Thu Jul 07 11:21:07 2011] [error] Env variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL not set to 2.4.19 for webgate.

However if LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19  is set in the Linux RH5 / OEL 5 environment then nothing works i.e. simple operating system commands such as "ls" commands fail.

Why does the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL occur and how can it be avoided?

Which WebGate installer package should be used for installation on Linux RedHat 5 or OEL 5 operating systems?
