Applies to:
Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 11.1.1.4.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Have configured a Join View Adapter with secondary adapter as the bind adapter
When a Join View is created, by default the user RDN in the Join view adapter will use the RDN of the primary adapter. So, it is not possible to bind using the secondary adapter's user RDN
Example:
User DN in the Primary Adapter: cn=<USERNAME>,cn=<OID_USERS>,cn=<COMPANY>,cn=com
User DN in the Secondary Adapter: uid=<USERNAME>,cn=<AD_USERS>,cn=<COMPANY>,cn=com
User DN in the Join View Adapter : cn=<USERNAME>,cn=<JOINED_USERS>,cn=<COMPANY>,cn=com
The requirement is to bind to the join view adapter using the user DN as stored in the secondary adatper.
ie..bind using the user DN uid=user1,cn=<JOINED_USERS>,cn=<COMPANY>,cn=com
