How to Reset the Database Password Within an Oracle Service Registry (OSR) Installation? (Doc ID 1338064.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Service Registry - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Due to security requirements in some environments, there is a requirement to change the password of database schemas being used.  When this happens to the OSR schema, the system will fail with errors, as the system still expects to use the old password that was originally provided during the install process.  Your system does not use a data source, so there is nothing apparent to change in the environment to make the registry function correctly

What is the procedure for making OSR recognize a change made to the UDDI schema password when a data source was not created during the installation process?
