OAM 10g : Identity Console Configuration Fails After Unsuccessful Schema Update (Doc ID 1343797.1)

When attempting to configure the Identity Console after reinstalling Identity and Webpass, the following error is reported in the browser:

"Cannot find the Config DN or Search base. Please make sure they exist. " .

However it is verified that the DN specified for the configuration does exist and is accessible.
