Symptoms


Environment

SQL Developer version 3.0 (32/64 bits) without JDK included StandAlone JDK 1.6.0_x

Problem
-----------
Starting SQL Developer gives the following error

Error

Unsupported Java version
Java 6.0 release 1.6.0_x is not supported.
Upgrade to Java 6.0 release 1.6.0_04 or downgrade to Java 5.0 release 1.6.0_04 or later.

What works
