Symptoms

When opening WebCenter Capture (formerly Oracle Document Capture), an error is returned on a workstation:

Login failed.
Error number:20047
Error Description: [The following error occurred during login.
Error Description: 20046
Error Number: Error [Automation error
The network path was not found. ] on line [10] Domain=[XXX] UserID=[YYY] The User Name and Password entered could not be validated. Please try again.]

or


Login failed.
Error number: 20047
Error Description: [The following error occurred during login.
Error Description: 20046
Error Number: Error [The remote server machine does not exist or is unavialable] on line [10] Domain=[XXX] UserID=[YYYY] The User Name and Password entered could not be validated. Please try again.]
