After configuring WebCenter Interaction (WCI) to connect to an Oracle database using SSL, the portal fails to start and generates the following error in PTSPY:

54 portal.machine.Administrator 12-23-2009 13:33:42.312 Error OpenKernel.Database .NET #1 com.plumtree.openkernel.impl.db.DatabaseService Exception acquiring database connection

Follow these steps to reproduce this problem:

1. Configure the Oracle DB to accept SSL connections.
2. Configure the WCI Portal to connect to the Oracle DB over SSL with
settings like these:

<setting name="database-connection:ssl-enable">
   <value xsi:type="xsd:boolean">true</value>
<setting name="database-connection:tnsnames-file">
   <value xsi:type="xsd:string">F:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\tnsnames.ora</value>
<setting name="database-connection:tnsnames-data-source">
   <value xsi:type="xsd:string">DSNAME</value>
<setting name="database-connection:truststore-location">
   <value xsi:type="xsd:string">f:\oracle\client_wallet</value>
<setting name="database-connection:truststore-password">
   <value xsi:type="xsd:string">PASSWORD</value>

3. Try to start the portal.
4. Observe the error TNS-00520 TNS:SSL Handshake failed in PTSPY.
