Unable To Create MQ Adapter for Multi-Instance Queue Managers (Doc ID 1357855.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 31, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Platform - Version: 11.1.1.4.0 and later   [Release: 11gR1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You are using MQ 7 with multi-instance queue managers.

In this configuration, there are multiple queue managers configured for availability, each on a separate physical server, and running hot / standby; only one queue manager is processing requests at any given time.

You are trying to configure a connection factory for a new MQ adapter on the WebLogic server, but do not know what to specify for the hostname since there is more than one.

How can SOA/WebLogic be configured to talk to these queue managers on different hosts?
