Purpose

This FAQ note was designed to address the most frequently asked questions about the Universal Content Management product and its ability to index content for full text searching solutions.

This document will be continually updated as additional information becomes available.

Audience

Information contained in this document targets all users of the UCM product who wish to implement, fix, tune, or repair their Database Search installation. This information can also be used when planning UCM installations.

Please use this guide to help you solve your full text searching/indexing issues.  Look for the solution to your issue here, prior to opening new Service Request with the Support group.

Note:  This note references some very common issues related to searching and indexing.  There are many other notes in the knowledge base however, that address very specific issues that may not be referenced here.  Please search for these notes using text from an error message or from your logs for additional information.
