Symptoms
When WebCenter Interaction is used to access an Ensemble pagelet through a portlet, every single time the Ensemble pagelet is accessed a new session is instantiated. In other words, every single page access to the pagelet, even from the same user in WebCenter Interaction, will result in the creation of a new JSESSIONID. This only occurs when the Ensemble pagelet is being consumed through the portal in an iframe, which is required for certain content such as ADF-based taskflows.
