Goldengate Extract Stuck On 'Bad' Redo Log, But Checkpoint Got Updated

Oracle Goldengate Extract is not moving, but it is not hung and checkpoint gets updated. 'send <ext>, status' will return the same rba number. Restarting the extract passed the hung point, but it will hang again later. The problem point is always on same redo group.
When checking the extract oracle session, it is querying v$log from time to time.
