Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
***Checked for relevance on 20-May-2015***

Symptoms

Memory leak symptoms are observed with many objects of oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CPreparedStatement growing in heap. If the servers are not re-started over a period of time you may also observe errors like:

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

This issue can be confirmed from analysis of the heap dumps collected when "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" errors are seen in the weblogic server logs.

For information on "OutOfMemoryError and Memory Leak Debugging Methodology" please refer to <Note 1054263.1>.
