In JDeveloper, your ADF Business Components Model includes a View Object with multiple Key attributes of different types, eg Integer and String.
Your ADF BC Model project was created with the "Data Type Map" = "Java Extended for Oracle".

When you run your application and create a new record for that View Object, you get the following error/stack trace:

oracle.jbo.domain.DataCreationException: JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:<aType> from type:<anotherType> with value:<theValue>
at oracle.jbo.domain.Number$1.convert(
at oracle.jbo.domain.TypeFactory.get(
at oracle.jbo.domain.TypeFactory.getInstance(
at oracle.jbo.server.AttributeDefImpl.convertToJava(
at oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowSetImpl.prepKeyForFind(
at oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowSetImpl.findByKey(
at oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowSetImpl.findByKey(
## Detail 0 ##
java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "<theValue>"
at java.lang.NumberFormatException.forInputString(
at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(
at java.lang.Integer.valueOf(
at oracle.jbo.common.JboTypeMapEntries$1.convert(
at oracle.jbo.domain.TypeFactory.get(

You have this problem when you create this application from scratch in JDeveloper
The same application created in JDeveloper 11g release 1 (eg, is working without any error.
Also, this application migrated to JDeveloper 11g Release 2 still works correctly.
