OAM 10g: 'Outlook Web Access did not initialize' Error In OWA-OAM Integrated Environment After OAM Login (Doc ID 1363952.1)

Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) is not accessible after configuring Oracle Access Manager for OWA 2007 or OWA 2010 with reference to <Document 558454.1> 'How To Configure OAM For Outlook Web Access (OWA) Impersonation?'.

When accessing the OWA homepage, the user is redirected to the OAM login page: after entering the login details the OWA application displays error:

The OWA exchange and and CAS servers are installed on different machines - distributed environment.

The authenticating WebGate is on Oracle HTTP Server on a different machine than OWA. The OWA WebGate is a resource WebGate only.

OAM form-based authentication is configured for OWA resources.

Steps to reproduce

1. Access http://<OWA_SERVER_FQ_HOSTNAME>/owa
2. The login page at https://<FQ_OAMSERVER_HOSTNAME>/<OAM_LOGIN> is displayed
3. Submit valid Administrator user credentials
4. The OWA Error page is displayed showing message 'Outlook Web Access did not initialize. An event has been logged so that the system administrator can resolve the issue. Please contact technical support for your organization.'
