Symptoms

Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) is not accessible after configuring Oracle Access Manager 10.1.4.3 for OWA 2007 or OWA 2010 with reference to <> 'How To Configure OAM For Outlook Web Access (OWA) Impersonation?'.

When accessing the OWA homepage, the user is redirected to the OAM login page: after entering the login details the OWA application displays error:

Outlook Web Access did not initialize. An event has been logged so that the system administrator can resolve the issue. Please contact technical support for your organization.

The OWA exchange and and CAS servers are installed on different machines - distributed environment.

The authenticating WebGate is on Oracle HTTP Server on a different machine than OWA. The OWA WebGate is a resource webgate only.

OAM form-based authentication is configured for OWA resources.

Steps to reproduce

2. The login page at https://oamlogin.oracle.com/mylogin/login.jsp is displayed
3. Submit valid Administrator user credentials
4. The OWA Error page is displayed showing message 'Outlook Web Access did not initialize. An event has been logged so that the system administrator can resolve the issue. Please contact technical support for your organization.'
