Unable to Open a Link in a Popup Window from a Navigation Item Based on Content Query (Doc ID 1364798.1)

Symptoms


Unable to open a Document Link in a Popup Window from a Navigation Item based on Content Query.

When creating a navigation node based on a Content Query and set the "Open Link in" property to "Popup", and then clicking any of the returning document links, this will display a property page inside the page region for the document (or documents) that are returned by the content query, no matter if ‘pop-up’ is selected.


STEPS

  1. Login to WebCenter Spaces as weblogic user.

  2. Upload some documents to the Documents page in the user Home Space:

  3. Go to the Administration pages and create a new navigation model.

  4. Create the following navigation items:

    • Add a "Content Item":
      - Set the "Path" to a document.
      - Set the "Open Link in" property to "Popup.

    • Add a Link Item:
      - Set the "Path" to the "Documents" page in the "Home Space Pages".
      - Set the "Open Link in" property to "Popup".

    • Add a "Content query":
      - Set the Content Query to: SELECT * FROM cmis:document
      - Set the "Open Link in" property to "Popup".

  5. Publish the Navigation with "Edit" - > "Show".

  6. Create a new Space.

  7. Set the new Space to use the navigation created in previous step.
    - Go to the Space "Manage" -> "General Settings".
    - Set the "Navigation" to the navigation created in previous step and click "Apply".

  8. Test the Content Item in the navigation.
    You will see it displays the content item inside the page region.
    This is unexpected as we set to display in a Popup.

  9. Test the Link Item in the navigation.
    You will see it displays the "Documents" page inside the page region.
    This is unexpected as we set to display in a Popup:

  10. Test the "Content Query" in the navigation.
    - Select a document.
      You will see it displays the Document inside the page region.
      This is unexpected as we set to display in a Popup.
