Oracle iPlanet Web Server Process Runs Out of Memory and Crashs with Error CORE1267 in wl_proxy WL_URL_CANONENC (Doc ID 1368080.1)

When using WebLogic Proxy Plugin 1.0 NSAPI Plugin with iPlanet Web Server 6.x/7.x, after some load test or extended duration,  the iPlanet Web Server with Weblogic plugin crashes and shows the following errors:

[16/Sep/2011:15:35:32] catastrophe ( 439): CORE1267: out of memory
[16/Sep/2011:15:35:32] catastrophe ( 439): CORE3260: Server crash detected (signal SIGSEGV)
[16/Sep/2011:15:35:32] info ( 439): CORE3261: Crash occurred in NSAPI SAF wl_proxy
[16/Sep/2011:15:40:52] info ( 437): CORE3050: Spawning replacement for worker process <pid>
[16/Sep/2011:15:40:56] info ( 6523): HTTP3072: http-listener-1: http://xxxxx:<port> ready to accept requests
[16/Sep/2011:15:40:56] info ( 6523): CORE3274: successful server startup
