Symptoms

In JDeveloper the DB Adapter Configuration Wizard errors when trying to create a polling adapter against a database table that contains a VARRAY object.

An error box appears:
"An error has occurred. Click Details for information that may be useful when
diagnosing or reporting this problem."

When the 'Details' button is pressed, the exception message reads:

This works in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3, but does not work in JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 or 11.1.1.5.

The same error occurs on Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Oracle Enterprise Linux platforms,
on Oracle XE and Oracle 11g databases.
