Symptoms

When adding a certificate to the Network Security Services (NSS) database of Oracle iPlanet Web Server, the following error occurs:

# certutil -S -s "CN=<COMMON NAME>,OU=<ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT>,O=<ORGANIZATION>,L=<LOCATION>,ST=<STATE>,C=<COUNTRY>" -n <CERT NAME> -x -t "u,u,u" -d /alias -g 2048 -P https-test-test-

Enter Password or Pin for "NSS Certificate DB":

A random seed must be generated that will be used in the
creation of your key. One of the easiest ways to create a
random seed is to use the timing of keystrokes on a keyboard.
