Cannot Do Reset Password In A Trusted Domain (Doc ID 1368978.1)

Symptoms

ESSO-PR has been implemented at a forest level, which contains multiple domains.  While password reset works fine within the primary domain where the password reset server resides, ESSO-PR enrolled users from all other domains within the forest cannot complete a password reset process.  After answering all questions correctly, an "unknown error" is displayed at the end of the process and the password reset fails.
