How to Set the Java Heap Size for WCC Standalone Applications and Applets? (Doc ID 1369098.1)

Last updated on MARCH 05, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In WebCenter Content (WCC) 11G, the Java JDK heap size used by the WebCenter Content Managed Server is configured within WebLogic, typically in the setDomainEnv or startWeblogic scripts.

However, when running one of the WCC standalone applications, such as the BatchLoader, or starting up the Applets outside of the WCC Admin Applets page, a separate Java process is invoked.  That separate Java process heap size is not set through WebLogic; it has to be set within WCC.

Increasing the heap size may improve the BatchLoader content check in rate.  It may also improve Archive exports/imports and Repository collection rebuilds.
