Kofax Capture Export Connector V11 Upgrade Questions (Doc ID 1372760.1)

Goal

  1. The upgrade instructions (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e15965/c02_install.htm#BABEDJBH) mention to delete the export connector on existing batches, remove the old export connector, and delete the batches.

    Is it really necessary to delete the batches?  It seems possible to add the new export connector and publish a batch using the new export connector without deleting and re-adding it.

    Will there be an issue down the road if the batches are not deleted, or are the instructions implying the ScansForStellent batches only?

  2. Is there any way to save and reuse the CHECKIN Service Parameters so that they do not need to be recreated for all batches after the upgrade?
