Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to update an attribute on the Shadow Joined adapter via Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) for an attribute that has been marked to be stored in the Shadow Adapter, the update fails, and the following error is reported by the browser:
javax.naming.NamingException: [LDAP: error code 80 - LDAP Error 80 : Could not modify JoinView Adapter: [#OVD - LAB Shadow Join Adapter] . Additional information: null LDAP Error 32 when modify secondary adapter ODS - Hidden - LAB Shadow Data: LDAP Error 32 : [LDAP: error code 32 - No Such Object].]; remaining name 'cn=my user,ou=my ou,ou=Users,dc=mycompany,dc=com'
OVD 10g shadow join adapter configured in an identical fashion with samaccountname as the Shadow Join uid condition, works fine.
