Capture Commit to I/PM 11g Errors 3017 and TCM-02006 when "Search and Append to Matching I/PM Documents" Enabled (Doc ID 1373501.1)

Symptoms

When committing a batch to I/PM 11g the following error is returned:

Failed to commit batch R_TE_1018116420072. Error Number: 40008, Error: Commit Profile - IPM Direct Commit: The following error was reported by ReleaseDocument. Error Number: 3017 Error Description: Failed to append page into existing document. Exception: oracle.imaging.ImagingException: TCM-02006: The document is locked to another user: IPMSOADMIN
faultType: SYSTEM .

The error from the Commit Driver log file is:

The document does not get appended.  The Imaging document does not appear to be locked.  New documents can be committed when no document exists to append to.
