How to Determine Space Needs in the Database when Using Fulltext And Metadata Indexing (Doc ID 1373994.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 07, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1. When using FullText indexing of content and storing the content inside of the database, what is the appropriate space buffer that should be considered when calculating the expected Database size?

2. If using MetaData only Indexing of content and storing the metadata inside of the database, how would the space buffer be affected?

3. If one changes the type of indexing used, either fulltext or metadata only, but still storing the results inside of the database, part of the contents would be FullText Indexed and rest would be MetaData only. In that case, how can the estimated size of the database be calulated since the requirements for each are different?
