Pattern Issue. SOA Suite BPEL

Invalid schema errors when using:
<xs:pattern value="|(\d\d\d\d-(0?[1-9]|1[0-2]))"/>

 regular expressions in WSDL.

Steps to reproduce the issue:
  1. Make a new empty composite SOA project
  2. Create an async BPEL process based on CustomerService,wsdl
  3. Click on variables (third button on the top BPEL panel (x) ) and expand the parameters under inputVariable and you will get the exception:

  4. Comment out the 2 lines which contain
    <xs:pattern value="|(\d\d\d\d-(0?[1-9]|1[0-2]))"/>

    from CustomerService.wsdl file and save it
  5. Repeat Step 3 and see the error does not appear.
