Symptoms
Quite often an Administrator will want to monitor pwdLastAuthTime, which is the timestamp of the last successful authentication involving the entry.
pwdlastauthtime man page - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29127_01/doc.111170/e28967/pwdlastauthtime-5dsat.htm
Activate this attribute by setting pwdKeepLastAuthTime in the password policy entry to on.
pwdKeepLastAuthTime man page - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29127_01/doc.111170/e28967/pwdkeeplastauthtime-5dsat.htm
The problem is that there is a performance hit associated with these attributes.
