SSXA Application is not Honoring NTK (Need To Know) Secured Content (Doc ID 1378217.1)

Symptoms

In Webcenter Content 11.1.1.4.0, the NeedToKnow (NTK) component and security group 'Promotion' is attached to NTK security list. When content is searched in the content server, it shows up in search results but prompts for a login information, and after login, if the user has the access then the detail is shown. 

For the same content, when it is displayed through the SSXA application it shows the content, but when clicking on the content link the details are shown without asking for login information or prompting for authentication.
