Last updated on SEPTEMBER 10, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.4.0 to 11.1.1.5.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using a 11.1.1.4 or 11.1.1.5 WebCenter Portal installation, and searching for a user using the People Task Flow,  if the people search results return more than 5 results, it is not possible to view any more than the first 5 results.

Steps to reproduce :-
  1. In the WLS Admin Console, create a number of users - testuser1.. testuser5, testusera..testuserh
  2. Give each one a display name of Test User #
  3. Restart Spaces
  4. Login to Spaces as an Administrator user, and enter a search string of -- test
  5. The first 5 results results are displayed in the People Task Flow on the Search Results page.
  6. There are links to display the next set of results, or any numbered set.
  7. However clicking on any of the links to display another set of users, and the same users are listed again.

People 1 - 5 of about 12 < Previous 1 2 3 Next >
Test User D
Test User H
Test User2
Test User F
Test User E

Clicking on the 2, 3 or Next links does not display different users, the same 5 users are displayed.

The same problem occurs if Active Directory or OID is the Identity Store.
