When an application uses Java RMI for access to distributed objects, it may intermittently throw this exception during a call to Context.lookup() or a related method:

java.rmi.ConnectIOException: error during JRMP connection establishment; nested exception is:
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
