When running Weblogic Portal application Standard Out Log File Filling Up With Info Messages (Doc ID 1381157.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 11, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Weblogic Server - Version: 10.3.2 and later   [Release: and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running Weblogic Portal application which is integrated with SOLR http://lucene.apache.org/solr/ the following log entry (or similar) gets recorded in the standard out of Weblogic Server, too many times without a logical explanation:
Sep 23, 2011 10:02:13 AM org.apache.beehive.netui.util.logging.Logger info
INFO: Attempting to instantiate SharedFlowControllers for request /../../searchResult/begin.do

Changes

Issue started after implementing SOLR into this application.

SOLR is a free-text searching engine based on Lucene (from apache project at http://lucene.apache.org/java/docs/index.html).

SOLR for Java is dependent on slf4j  i.e. Simple Logging Facade for Java (http://www.slf4j.org/). This is a logging abstraction layer that plugs into any of the major logging systems, like log4j, java.util.log, etc.
