"Certificate chain path length exceeded" When Invoking HTTPS Webservice (Doc ID 1382106.1)

Symptoms

In an Oracle Service Bus (OSB) domain, when trying to contact an HTTPS webservice and after importing the server certificate into the OSB trust store, the following warning shows up in the log file while testing the service:
