This document explains how to register Directory Server version 6.3 instances in a remote ODSEE184.108.40.206.x DSCC.
***Checked for relevance on 21-Oct-2013***
We can find the following statement in the migration guide;
"Using DSCC 11g Release 1 (220.127.116.11.0), you can access version 6, 7.0, and 11g Release 1 (18.104.22.168.0) instances."
These steps 1-5 in the above document (export 6.3 registry to ldif and then import it to 11g) works fine if 6.3 and 11g are installed on a same machine and we can manage 6.3 instances from 11g DSCC.
However, if 11g DSCC is installed on the remote machine, these steps does not work.
The DS6.3 instances are displayed on remote 11g DSCC but the status of the 6.3 instance is displayed as "unexpected error" and could not manage it.
