SOA 11g: Queue Drop and Creation Scripts (Doc ID 1383452.1)

Last updated on MAY 07, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Platform - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After generating the attached scripts from JDeveloper at the time of OraceAppsAdapter creation:

Q1. Is it advisable to run the following scripts on the target database (scripts attached)?

          XX_BPEL_WFEVENT_BookedBusinessEventPL.sql
          XX_BPEL_WFEVENT_BookedBusinessEventPL_drop.sql

Q2. What would be the impact when these scripts are run?

Q3. Will these affect the other existing subscribers?

Q4. Will it stop the other processes from listening to business events?

Q5. If the scripts are executed in the following sequence:

         XX_BPEL_WFEVENT_BookedBusinessEventPL_drop.sql
         XX_BPEL_WFEVENT_BookedBusinessEventPL.sql

This affects other subscribers as the first script drops the queue WF_BPEL_Q, agent and subscription along with subscriber.

Will things resume back to normal (with regard to all subscriptions and all business events) after a minute of downtime, or should all the business events be reconfigured from the (Oracle APPS) ERP front end, updating the OUT_AGENT and subscribers?
