WSRP PeopleSoft Portlet - Uploading File Attachment Does Not Work (Doc ID 1383707.1)

Symptoms

Using WebCenter Portal that contains a PeopleSoft WSRP portlet, users are not able to upload files in IE7 or IE8. They currently have several custom pages where they use the PeopleSoft file upload abilities.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. From PeopleSoft: Access PeopleTools Test Utilities.
  2. In the field FTP site, enter: record://PSFILE_ATTDET.
  3. Click the Attach button.
  4. Click the browse button.
  5. Choose a file to attach.
  6. Click Open button.
  7. Click the upload button.
  8. The file is attached and the user has the ability to view, delete, or detach the uploaded file.


Now, if try the same steps above via WSRP portlet in WebCenter Portal (WCP):

  1. From WCP: Access PeopleTools Test Utilities.
  2. In the field FTP site, enter: record://PSFILE_ATTDET.
  3. Click the Attach button.
  4. Click the browse button.
  5. Choose a file to attach.
  6. Click Open button.
  7. Click the upload button.
  8. The system does nothing. It goes back to step 4 above and the user cannot continue.
