How to Monitor the Engine To-Do Items in Regards to Expired Execution Items (Doc ID 1384583.1)

Goal

When BPM process instances seem to be stuck, operations to instances take long times, or there is a general slowness in the system it is recommended to monitor the To-Do Items table and queue.

This article provides an example of how to query the PTODOITEMS table to detect any expired (or non-later) items along with their oldest due date. This document applies to BPM versions 10g and earlier.
