DSEE 6.3.1 Server Can Slow Down or Become Unresponsive When TLS Connections Are Used (Doc ID 1391457.1)

The impact is for slow responses to only the BIND portion of the request from clients of the DS. The etime on BINDS increases while the etime for the actual SRCH or MOD operations from the request was very fast.

This is seen on any 6.3.1 patch set on for DSEE.   It is not common to the patch release bundles previous to the BP release.

When looking at the access/error logging of connections to the DS it is noticed that clients are using TLS connections are being used with the DS.

When examining pstack data returned from analysis by the site we see "slapd_ssl_init2" calls being made, this is indicative of  bug 12240732, and the fix for it NOT being present.


Clients that use TLS for their connectivity to the 6.3.1 DSEE were introduced into the environment.
