Provisioning Gateway Storage Configuration Fails With Error: "Cannot Find Any Configuration Objects" (Doc ID 1392467.1)

Provisioning Gateway is installed on Win 2008 R2. OID is used as a repository.
The account used to anonymously connect to PM console and PM service is a member of the local administrators group.

When logged in to the PG Admin console as the anonymous user and selecting "Storage settings" on http://localhost/v-GO PM Console/storage.aspx" the error "Invalid storage settings" is displayed.

When setting the storage settings to

Storage Type: Oracle Internet Directory
Server: servername:13070
Root DN: dc=<COMPANYNAME>,dc=com
User Path: cn=users,dc=<COMPANYNAME>,dc=com
Connect as User: cn=orcladmin
Password: <empty>
Use secure connection (SSL): unchecked
Use configuration objects instead of application list: checked
Role/Group support: checked
Configuration and role/group objects root DN: ou=ssoconfig,ou=ESSO,dc=<COMPANYNAME>,dc=com
Admin Group DN: <empty>
User Name prepend: <empty>

the error message "Cannot find any configuration objects" is displayed.
